My name is Clare Trapasso and I’m a journalism graduate student at New York University. I’m astounded by the sheer number of homeless people in New York City and I’m especially concerned with the struggles of youth on the streets. This blog is designed to document my experiences covering a shelter for gay youth in Hell’s Kitchen and will culminate in a magazine piece about the shelter, a video, podcast, picture slideshow of several of the residents and an opinion piece about the shelter system in New York.
I’m open to any and all suggestions. So please feel free to offer pointers, let me know when I’ve made a mistake or just leave your feedback on the site. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi:
What software do you use to create your slideshows? I’m in need of new software and thought yours work well and have many of the features I’m looking for.
Thanks for your help.
I Clare. I’m producing a short film about people who don’t plan to vote in the upcoming election, and we are trying to include homeless people in our group of interviewees. I was wondering if you might be able to help connect me with some interview subjects. Email me back if you can! Thanks.
